The average price of a train ticket in China, according to the Ministry of Public Security, is $300, while in Russia, the average ticket is about $180.
China is now looking to double that average for its rail transport costs, according a report by the Ministry.
China plans to spend $600 billion on rail transport over the next 10 years.
But China is also planning to build the country’s first domestically produced passenger rail.
The rail transport is expected to cost $1.4 trillion.
That’s up from the previous estimate of $700 billion.
The Chinese government plans to buy about 10 million of these trains in 2018, the first step in building a network of high-speed rail, which could be used to connect the United States to Europe.
